Palm Beach Fertility Center and Dr. Mark Denker, MD

Palm Beach Fertility Center is a member of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, or SART. Our IVF statistics are reported to SART every year and are published on their website, as well as reported to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Dr. Mark Denker, our fertility expert at the clinic, is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, ASRM. SART is an affiliate society of the ASRM.

What does this mean to our fertility patients? Physicians, nurses, and embryologists with interest in treating patients with infertility may become members of ASRM. ASRM is open to all healthcare providers in the field of Reproductive Endocrinology.

SART Membership: Dr. Mark Denker

SART is the primary organization of professionals dedicated to the practice of assisted reproductive technologies (ART- IVF) in the United States. Up to 85% of the ART centers in the country are improved SART clinics. SART’s mission is to set and help maintain the standards for ART in the United States.

Major functions of SART include:

• Yearly data collection of IVF outcomes from its member clinics
• Close association with the Centers for Disease Control to accurately report IVF outcomes
• Sets practice guidelines and standards and interact with the federal government by acting as an overseer of ART in this country
• Ensure quality assurance for fertility clinics in the United States

Palm Beach Fertility Center is a SART member clinic, in good standing, and we not only follow the requirement of submitting yearly IVF statistics but also of maintain required JACHO accreditation of our laboratory.

Palm Beach Fertility follows all SART practice guidelines such as:

• Guidelines for gamete and embryo donation
• Guidelines on the number of embryos transferred
• Guidelines for human embryology and andrology laboratories
• Minimum standards for practices offering assisted reproductive technologies

Standards like these have led to a marked decline in high-order multiple pregnancies, the appropriate use of preimplantation genetic testing, and the promotion of elective single-embryo transfer. SART also holds all its members to strict standards regarding “truth in advertising” to better serve the public.

Palm Beach Fertility Center is accredited by The Joint Commission, an independent, not-for-profit organization. The Joint Commission approves and certifies more than 19,000 health care organizations and programs in the United States. Joint Commission accreditation and certification is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting specific performance standards.

The Joint Commission’s mission is to continually improve public healthcare in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value. The Joint Commission is the nation's oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in healthcare. To earn and maintain The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval™, an organization must undergo an on-site survey by a Joint Commission survey team at least every three years and laboratories must be surveyed every two years to maintain accreditation.
