Three Tips For Choosing a Fertility Center

If you’re struggling with infertility and have made the decision to seek assistance from a fertility center, picking which center is right for you can be a daunting task. You want the best for yourself and there’s bound to be a wide range of questions you want answered. In honor of Infertility Awareness Week, our Boca Raton fertility doctor shares tips on how to pick the right fertility center.

Tip #1: Do Your Research

Maybe you’ve heard your friends recommend a certain fertility center, or maybe you’ve seen an advertisement for a local fertility doctor, but you should also make the effort to research the success rates of different fertility clinics in your area. Since every patient is different, the doctor your friend recommends may not meet your specific needs. The Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology releases reports that disclose the success rates of fertility centers and includes information on new up-and-coming procedures.

Tip #2: List Your Preferences

Prioritize what you want out of a fertility center, make a list, and go from there. This is your journey and you should not choose a fertility clinic that has different priorities than the ones you have for yourself. Location, gender, language, and price of the provider are a few examples of some of the preferences you may have.

Tip #3: Ask About Technology

If you’re calling a clinic or are at your first appointment, don’t be hesitant to ask about what technology they use. IVF procedures are constantly changing and it’s completely normal to be curious about the technology your clinic uses. In some cases, it can be a sign of whether or not the clinic is open to adopting new technologies.

At Palm Beach Fertility Center, our Boca Rotan fertility doctor specializes in helping patients become parents with state-of-the-art technology and affordable care.
