Are you interested in donating your eggs to individuals and couples facing fertility issues? By donating your eggs, you can help other men and women start families they wouldn’t otherwise be able to create. While some believe donating your eggs is a complicated process, with the right help and guidance, it can be much easier to handle than you might think.
Why Are Egg Donors Needed?
Not all women are able to produce their own eggs, or the eggs they produce may not be usable for a variety of reasons. When this happens, donor eggs can be used to help women carry their own children, using a donor egg and donor sperm, or the sperm from their partner. Donor eggs can also be used in surrogate situations, especially for single men looking to have children or for couples who are unable to carry a child.
About Donating Your Eggs
If you are interested in donating your eggs, it is important to schedule a visit with the staff at our fertility center in order to determine whether or not you are eligible. Eligibility depends on the health of the individual and their age, which should ideally lie between the ages of 18 and 30. Although these requirements may vary, women must usually be non-smokers, non-drug users, of a healthy BMI, have regular monthly periods, and must have no reproductive disorders or other health abnormalities.
The Donation Process at Palm Beach Fertility Center
Our donor egg program at Palm Beach Fertility Center has seen a stellar 75% pregnancy rate, and we do whatever we can to preserve as many eggs as possible throughout the process. Donors will take certain medications detailed by our fertility doctor, Dr. Denker, and will give blood samples for roughly two weeks for testing. Additionally, the donors will have ultrasounds done and will undergo a minor procedure while the doctor collects the eggs. This procedure is minimally invasive and is performed under sedation by highly qualified doctors and medical staff.
The women who decide to donate their eggs are treated with the most advanced technology, using cutting-edge treatments in state-of-the-art labs. We always uphold our staff to the highest standards of care and each of our donors is seen by an expert embryologist and one of our in-vitro fertilization technicians.
