The Journey to Parenthood: Understanding Fertility Treatments and Your Options

Helping You Determine Which Treatments are Best for You

There are various fertility treatment options available today, and at Palm Beach Fertility Center, we are here to help you find the treatments that will work best for you and your family unit. Please note that the most effective treatment depends on the cause of the fertility issue, so it is always best to consult with a healthcare provider for personalized advice.

Which Fertility Treatment Should I Choose?

With all the options for family building, it can be an overwhelming task discovering which ones may work best for you. Our team of fertility specialists are committed to patient education and helping you make informed and confident decisions in your care plan.

We have advised patients on building families through the following evidence-based techniques and more:

  • In Vitro Fertilization (IVF): This involves retrieving mature eggs from a woman, fertilizing them with sperm in a laboratory, and then transferring the embryos into the woman's uterus after fertilization.
  • Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI): This involves injecting a single sperm directly into an egg to achieve fertilization. It's often used for couples in which the male partner has significant fertility issues.
  • Egg and Sperm Donation: If either partner has a problem with their eggs or sperm, they can choose to use donated eggs or sperm.
  • Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation: This involves taking medication to stimulate the ovaries to produce more than one egg. The eggs are then harvested and fertilized in a lab before being transferred back into the woman's uterus.
  • Ovulation Induction (OI): This is a common treatment for women with irregular ovulation. With OI treatment, a woman takes an oral medication, such as clomid or letrozole, in order to stimulate ovulation.
  • Low-Cost Fertility Treatment Options: Certain treatments like INVOcell, an FDA-approved fertility treatment, costs roughly 40 percent less than traditional IVF. If you have financial constraints, we can help you find low-cost options.
