Fertility checkups at Palm Beach Fertility Center include:

• Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) testing – This measures a hormone that is only produced by granulose cells found in follicles at their earliest stages of growth, before they can be seen on ultrasound. Primary follicles release AMH, and the level is thought to reflect the number of immature follicles left in the "waiting" phase at the earliest stage of development. This test will assess ovarian reserves.
• Ultrasound Antral Follicle Count (AFC) – An ultrasound exam is performed midway through the menstrual cycle, at the time of ovulation. This measures the uterus, lining of the uterus, ovaries, and the cervical canal. A physical exam and gonorrhea/chlamydia culture may be performed at the same visit or at the time of another uterine image, if one is necessary.
• Semen analysis – This assesses the male partner's sperm count and health, and it indicates whether further testing is necessary.
