Anti-Mullerian (AMH) is the most accurate predictor of a woman's egg supply. This blood test can measure anti-mullerian hormone (AMH) levels released by developing eggs, and help predict your fertility potential. Depending on the results, Dr. Denker will put your mind at ease and help you make a proactive plan to include fertility preservation or in-vitro fertilization (IVF). Results usually arrive from our IVF lab within one week, and we can then discuss the options for overcoming low ovarian reserve (low AMH levels).
AMH testing measures a hormone that is only produced by granulose cells found in follicles at their earliest stage of growth before they are visible on an ultrasound. Primary follicles release AMH, and the level is thought to reflect the number of immature follicles left in the “waiting” phase at the earliest stage of development.
Women can greatly benefit from knowing the status of their ovarian reserve. Contact us at (888) 819-5177 if you would like to have AMH testing to assess your fertility potential.
